at the end of motown junk you hear a sample, taken from the song charles by scottish new wave punk group the skids.the skids was formed in Dumferline in 1977 from 'Tattoo', whose guitarist Stuart Adamson, bassist Bill Simpson linked with drummer Tom Kellichan, singer Richard Jobson formed the band and made in 1987 the single 'Charles' on their own own 'No Bad' Label.their major album is the 1979 'Scared To Dance', with hit singles 'Into The Valley' and 'Masquerade'. other famous hits were 'Charade' and 'Working For The Yankee Dollar'in 1981 they split up, but later attempted a comeback as 'The Armoury Show' without much success.
