'People like you need to fuck / Need to fuck people like me'
Refers to a piece of art by
tracey emin, called People Like You Need to Fuck People Like Me. It consists of a purple and blue neon sign stating the title. The sentence is repeated on It Always Hurts, a blanket sewn with a view of Emin’s buttocks. The further lettering on this last piece of art reads: "You stop me feeling anything but myself" and "Right up inside of me". Both pieces were featured on Emin’s exhibition When I Think About Sex…, which took place in the White Cube art gallery in London in May and June 2005.
Many thanks to Charlotte for this reference.
