Birth name of shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, who was born in 1969 in Canton, Ohio.

Being down in the Florida music scene and being a music critic for some of the local bands playing the clubs, Warner was encouraged to begin his own band since he liked writing and did always have a love for music. Brian Warner got together with some of his friends and also sought out band members and created the band Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. Warner aka Marilyn Manson then shortened the name to 'Marilyn Manson'. This name was chosen by way of Warner's view of pop culture's fascination with celebrity icons. He believes that all mankind has a positive/negative, good/evil, spiritual/animal side. He chose the name of Marilyn from the name of marilyn monroe to promote the positive side, and the name Manson from Charles Manson, the serial killer, to promote the negative side. From this moment Brian Warner did'nt want to be called by his birth name any more but only by 'Marilyn Manson'.

Marilyn Manson became famous with their shocking podium act in which Warner usually shows his tasty little ass and their controversial lyrics about drugs, sex, condemning Christianity (see jesus christ) and worshipping Satan.
